Gloves

Measure your hand around the knuckles with open palm (not including thumb)
Hand Measurements:
5-6.5 inches=X-Small
7-8 inches=Small
8.5-9 inches=Medium
9.5-10.5 inches=Large
11-11.5 inches=X-Large



Masks

Measure your head all the way around to the forehead.
Head sizes:
up to 21 1/2 inches= childrens
up to 22 7/8 inches= small
up to 23 1/2 inches= medium
up to 24 1/4 inches= large



Jackets

Measure the chest all the way around, and indicate men's or women's style.
Chest Measurements:
30-34 inches=X-Small
36-38 inches=Small
40-42 inchesMedium
44-46inches=Large
48-50inches=X-Large
For lames (la-meys), just get them a size larger than the jackets.


Knickers

Add at least one size to ensure a proper fit

Measure all the way around the waist, and indicate men's or women's style.


Shoes

Woman's sizes are usually one size smaller than men's:
If you are size 8 women's you need a size 7 fencing shoe.


Hints

Unfortunately, this secion is for FOIL FENCERS, being that I do not fence sabre or epee, I don't have experience to tell you of those.
So...foil fencers, if you're a beginner, or haven't been to competition, for foils, I recommend french grip and german tip. Those are the best to order. Adanced people order pistol grips, but talk to your maestro.
As far as jackets go, order the nylon kind, not the cotton. Cotton is thick and clunky, and doens't give you agility you need.
Lames, for those who don't know, are the electric vests. Order German lames for quality. Chinese ones aren't nearly as good. Order your lames a size larger than your jacket.
